Indo-Duoclieudongy Round Table 2009-Fuel Quality and Vehicle Emission in India-

The total number of vehicle registration in India was increased from 7.4 million in 2000 to 17 millionin 2005. It takes only 5 years to double the vehicle number. In the same time, the growth of vehicle number causes environmental deterioration and energy issues in India.
Indio-Duoclieudongy Roundtable will be held on March 17-18, India Habitat Centre, Delhi, focusing on fuel quality and vehicle emission in India. In Indian automobile market, Japanese models are dominant so that there is a discussion if India should introduce Japanese fuel quality standard.
In the Roundtable, technical background of Japanese fuel quality standards and impact of introduction of fuel quality standard were discussed.
